Why Are You Troubled?

All our anxiety arises from our lack of faith in the Word of God. We will not take God at His Word.

Luke 24:36-39, 36And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 37But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. 38 And he said unto them, why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. The Peace of Christ removes the need for Him to ask, why are you troubled? The question becomes what is it about Christ that should terrify a person who claims to be a disciple? How to please God

A question for you, is there at least one thing you are doing that you know, not guess, you know that does not please God? We only need to do one thing in order not to please God, one, and if left unconfessed, it will take you to destruction. How many sins did Adam commit that the Bible records? One. What’s the result? Six thousand years of suffering, because Adam did not please God. Adam transferred his faith from God’s Word to the word of Eve which was essentially the word of the devil. The Bible says a man who pleases God is counted as righteous. 1 John 3:22 the Bible say and whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. One of the conditions for answered prayer is to do what pleases God. Are you doing things that please God?

A Labor of Love

The first concern of human beings is always how will I eat or how will I survive?Though a legitimate concern, it has affected the way be answer the call for the service of God.And so, when the devil sought God’s permission to tempt Job, he went out he took away everything Job had and he came back, and God said he hold this fascist integrity although that moves me against him to destroy him without a cause and the devil said unto the Lord skin for skin all that a man hath will he give for his life. In serving God, our lives must not be our first concern. Jesus Christ came to die for us. When He sent out the disciples on one of the missions, He asked them in Luke 22 verse 35 35And He said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, which is the container for food, and shoes, lack ye anything? Did you lack? The verse ends this way, and they said nothing
