864 – Roots of Truth: Cain and Abel

Many Christians when you talk about doing what’s right they accuse you of legalism immediately. Take a casual glance of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation get a concordance, look up the word righteousness and see the overwhelming frequency with which righteousness is expressed in the context of doing. What did Jesus say Matthew 7 verse 21 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Righteousness is right doing, sin is wrongdoing but there’s one standard that determines what’s right or what’s wrong and that’s a law of God. Let me say that again, there is only one standard of right and wrong and that is the law of God.

In the meantime

The tree of life was available for consumption before sin, the tree of life will be available for consumption after sin in the new world. Since Adam was denied access because of sin, we can no longer access that tree now, but we still need that life, but can’t get to the tree. Since we can’t get there and that future time has not yet come in the meantime how do we access the life from the tree, because that’s the life we need? How? Listen Evangelism page 138 paragraph 4, listen to this explosive statement: The Word of God is our sanctification and righteousness because it is spiritual food. To study it, is to eat the leaves of the tree of life. So, in the meantime while we’re waiting for that new world which is coming since the life of that tree is still the life we need, God has provided a means for us to access that life without having direct access to a tree and that life is in His word.

Power of obedience

My advice to you is that you will remain faithful to the church no matter what other people do. Whether that person is your father, your mother, your spouse, your cousin, friend, your enemy – do not ever leave the church (the Remnant Church) – for any reason. Jesus said in John 6:70 – 70 Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?” Jesus had a devil among the twelve disciples, but the disciples were still the early church.
