863 – Roots of Truth: The Holy Day

The Bible says in verse 2 of Genesis 2 and on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made and God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made. Three times we are told the seventh day, the seventh day, the seventh day. The Sabbath is a celebration, a reminder, a memorial of a finished work. Everything God had to do at the physical level was done. Everything necessary for our spiritual life, for our rebirth and our continual growth in Christ has been presented or provided by the same person who created physically and that is Jesus Christ.

Nothing is Cheap

If you are afraid to die for God, the devil has you. As long as you’re afraid to die for God, the devil has you. Because he has a weapon with which to intimidate you and that weapon is the threat to your life, but when you come to the place like the Apostle Paul in Acts 20, where you do not hold your life dear to you, the devil has lost because you cannot intimidate a person who is not afraid to die and Satan knows that. Do you know God was willing to lose Jesus that He might not lose you?

Who is the Holy Spirit?

The Bible says all manner of blasphemy and sin against the Son of man shall be forgiven you. But the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, this is serious business. Don’t play with the Holy Ghost. Understand who He is and watch how you act around Him. If you blaspheme against Holy Ghost, the Bible says, you won’t be forgiven in this world nor in the world to come. If the Spirit does not dwell as a controlling power in your life, you do not belong to Christ and if you do not belong to Christ, there is no entrance into the kingdom for you.
