Who is Your God

Who is your God? Your God is the person whose commands, you obey. Your God is the one who tells you what to do and you do it. Your God is not the person you say you love. Everybody loves Jesus Christ. Your God, is not the person you say you love. Your God and my God is the person or the thing that directs and commands our lives. There are some people who say the God of heaven and earth is their God, but their lives are directed by their career. You don’t see them at church, they don’t study the bible, they hardly pray, they couldn’t defend the basic doctrines of the church to which they belong. They’re not preparing for the second coming of Christ, yet they all, they love to say I love Jesus. God is my God, but all the efforts, all their resources, all their time or the sacrifices is in the direction of something or someone other than God. Your God and my God is not the person we say we love, your God and my God is the person or the thing that drives our lives and commands us and we obey.

Everything God had to do at the physical level was done. Everything necessary for our spiritual life, for our rebirth and our continual growth in Christ has been presented or provided by the same person who created physically and that is Jesus Christ.

862- Roots of Truth: Eternal Word

God’s Word is powerful, it is creative, it gives life not only physical life, but a higher form of life – spiritual life. The very character of God, the very life of God is in the Word of God. What is your relationship to God’s word?  A “Christian”, who does not study God’s Word, makes no time for the life-giving Word, the life-sustaining Word, makes no time for the life-transforming Word, the healing Word, the resurrecting Word, that person may be a church member, but that person is not a child of God. You should make time for the Eternal Word of God, it will save you, it will sustain you, it will fit you for a place in God’s kingdom.
