God of the impossible

My brothers and sisters we are in a dilemma. The dilemma is, we have a nature that cannot obey God. The other side of the dilemma is, God has a standard that contains no sin. God’s standard is perfect obedience. That’s a dilemma. The Bible tells us literally not symbolically, we must be perfect as God is. We must have the holiness of God. We must practice godliness in everything. How can you have the perfection? How can you be perfect as God is? How can you be holy as God is?

God of the impossible -Randy Skeete

Opening prayer-
Heads bowed eyes closed Father in Heaven, thank you dear God for your many blessings to us. Many of which we do not even see and those we see you, we don’t even thank you. Father, we thank you for life. We thank you for the opportunity to assemble on these grounds dedicated to your glory, to worship you and to fellowship. If we have sinned against you father, forgive us. You are a God who loves to forgive, that’s why you sent Jesus. With your forgiveness, Father, we want power to avoid the mistakes we’ve made. Dear God, the gospel is truth, divine truth and I am flesh you must help me Father. Put your words in my mouth, suppress my carnal nature which loves attention and let only Jesus Christ be heard and by faith be seen. Use me, Father. Bless this country, bless the leaders, bless every country represented by this congregation dear God. Let leaders of nations always remember, righteousness exalteth a nation. A double blessing on our children and a very special blessing on our guests. Now dear God, use me I pray, in Jesus name. Let God’s people say, amen and amen
  1. Promises to Abraham Genesis 12 reading from verse 1. what’s our subject? God of the impossible. 1Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. That is one of the most important passages in the entire Bible.
  2. Isaac Let’s go to Genesis 26:1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.
Now there are three leading patriarchs in the book of Genesis name them: Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The book of Genesis, the first eleven chapters give us an account of historical events from the creation to the destruction of the Tower of Babel by scattering those who tried to build it. From chapter 12 down to the last chapter of that book, the Bible deals with Abraham Isaac and Jacob, their lives:
  1. In the life of Abraham there was a famine that tested him
  2. In the life of Isaac there was a famine that tested him
  3. In the life of Jacob there was a famine
That is three famines, one for each patriarch. Now we’ve just read Genesis 26, we will read again. And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. That was the natural response to famine, because back then Egypt was considered the breadbasket of the world. When I was a little boy studying geography, Canada was considered the breadbasket of the world. Back then it was Egypt. And so, Isaac was planning to go to Egypt 2 And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: 3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; Now God is reassuring Isaac don’t move, stay right where you are. But what was happening right where he was? A famine. You know, God is, from a human standpoint, I used the word respectfully, strange:
  1. In the days of Abraham, Abraham went down to Egypt and God didn’t stop him.
  2. In the days of Jacob, He sent his sons to Egypt. God didn’t stop them
  3. For Isaac, God stopped him and God said you stay right with the famine is, but I’ll be with you and I’ll bless you.
It is not our circumstances that are of major concern, it is do we know God? Are you with me? Can God bless you in Australia? Yes. Do you have to move to United States to be blessed? No. The blessings of God are not geographically restricted. Can God bless someone in North Korea? Yes. But God has one condition, give me the answer and don’t be wrong? Obey me. God told Isaac, you stay right where you are. If he had left, he would have ran into a catastrophe. And God told him in verse 4, that he would bless all the families of the earth or the nations of the earth in him as he told Abraham
  1. Jacob
Go to Genesis 28:12, our subject is, God of the impossible. We’re looking now at Jacob. We looked at Abraham, we looked at Isaac, now Jacob. We read from verse 12. Have you found that? Let me pray again: Father in Heaven continue to be with me please. I do not want to speak long without seeking additional help, in Jesus name I pray, amen.

Genesis 28:12 – 12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. 13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac. Now, God is making an announcement to Jacob, the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; 14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. God said to Abraham, God said that to Isaac, God said that to Jacob. The Bible frequently refers to God as the God of Elijah, Elisha and Moses, is that correct? No. How about the God of Peter, James and John? No. But is He their God? Yes. What three people are consistently grouped together as the subjects of God? He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The three patriarchs to whom the promise was repeated: I will bless the earth through you. Each one had a famine, each one had the promise repeated.

Let’s learn something else about each one, as we continue with the subject God of the impossible. Go to Genesis 11:27-30 27 Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot. 28 And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees. 29 And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram’s wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah. 30 But Sarai was barren; she had no child. But what did God promise Abraham? He’ll have descendants that cannot be counted. But you’ll observe we are informed of the inability of Sarah to have children first, then we read that God called Abraham. Now, let’s go to Genesis chapter 12, read that passage again from verse 1 1Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will show thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Question for you, biologically could Abraham produce children? No. Who had to produce them? His wife. What was her condition? Barren. What did God say? You’ll have children. What’s our subject? God of the impossible. Now could God have given Abram a wife who was fruitful? Yes. But would that have built his faith? Not much. Listen to me carefully, God puts us in impossible situations that we may learn, to trust him.

Go to Genesis 25:20-21, 26 20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian. 21 And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. Now, by the way you read that verse you think he prayed on Tuesday and she got pregnant on Wednesday. That’s not the case. Verse 20 tells us how old he was. How old was he? 40. Now go to verse 26 26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them. How old was he when he married her? 40 years old. How old was he when she had children? 60 years old. How long did he pray? 20 years. God gave his father a wife who could not have children. They had to trust God. God gave Isaac the child of promise a wife who could not have children, they had to trust God.

Go to Genesis 29:30 30 And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years. 31 And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren. Now, God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Which means He is also the God of Sarah, Rebekah and Rachael. All three were barren, barren, barren and God kept repeating you’ll have sons, you’ll have descendants, and you’ll have great seeds.

What are you facing right now in your life? Your children? Your spouse? Your health? Trouble on the job? Your finances? You need to understand, you serve a God who is the God of the impossible. If everything were possible, what opportunity would God have to show off? And I say show off deliberately. The only person with the right to show off is God. God’s power is displayed when we are in positions of impossibility.

  1. Abraham entered Canaan at the age of 75
  2. Isaac was born when Abraham was a hundred – pray without ceasing
  3. Isaac Mary Rebekah when he was 40 years old. He prayed for his wife. She bears children when he was 60
  4. Jacob had to pray that God would open Rachel’s womb. A big argument took place between the two of them the beginning of chapter 30 because Rachel said give me children or I die. Sounds like the daughters of Lot. We want children and we’ll get them by any means necessary.
These three men, were the ones through whom the Savior came and of course down all the way through Mary. Impossible situations.

Let us go to Matthew 5:48. Our subject? God of the impossible. Matthew wrote predominantly to a Jewish audience that’s why throughout his book you encounter this expression that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of by such-and-such a prophet. He wants to tell the Jews this is what your scriptures predicted. This man really was the Savior because the Jews did not believe Jesus. So, Matthew’s trying to convince them Christ was. Luke wrote for Gentile audience mainly.

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Is that verse in Revelation? No. It’s in Matthew. Is Matthew known for apocalyptic writing? Not really. Revelation is. What I’m trying to say is, this verse is literal. The verse doesn’t say be ye therefore God. It says as God is perfect, you must be perfect.

Let’s go to 1 Peter 1:14-16 – 14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. The reason why you and I are to be holy is not because it is beneficial to society, even though that’s good, we are to be holy because our spiritual Father is holy and a holy God must have holy children – two cats cannot produce puppies. A holy God cannot have carnal children. I repeat, a holy God has holy children. Be holy in all manner of conversation, that’s verse 15. Look at that verse again, look at it. What do you understand by all manner of conversation? In everything we do, we are to be? Holy. How many of you run a business, can I see your hand? That business must be run by holy principles. Because holiness is not something we do on Sabbath. You see when the sun sets today, the holy day ends but the Bible doesn’t say the sun sets on your holiness! The sun never sets on your holiness. We are to be holy in all manner of conversations.

Let me get extreme: how many of you are married and you’re glad you are, can I see your right hand? Alright okay. Well that’s no joke some of the loneliest people on earth are married people. Alright, question for you. Let me be delicate. When a husband and a wife closed the bedroom door, hmm, whatever goes on should it be holy? Yes or no? Why are you hesitating? Should it be holy? Yes. You can’t go on the internet, to those satanic sites, get destructive information and come and apply. When the Bible says be holy in all manner of conversation there are no exceptions.

Go to Psalm 106:3, our subject God of the impossible. 3 Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times. That is not symbolic language. Go to 1 Timothy chapter 4 verse 8. The Apostle Paul giving counsel to a young man. By the way Ellen White says Timothy was a youth a teen. When Paul called him to work with him. Teenagers can be serious for God somebody say amen! You can be very serious for God, if placed in the right environment and they received right attention and all these idiotic and expensive electronic devices can be put away, they can be serious for God.

1 Timothy chapter 4 verse 8 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things. STOP. Give me another word for profitable? Worthwhile, beneficial. Godliness is beneficial, in how many things? All things. Having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come – In other words, the benefits of godliness extend into the next life. I could have said the benefits of righteousness, the benefits of holiness. So, we’ve discovered as we continue God of the impossible:

  1. – we must be perfect as God is perfect
  2. – we must be holy because God is holy
Let’s go to Hebrews 12 will read 9 and 10

Let me pray again: Holy Father in heaven, please Father restrain me if I’ve stepped out of line and let me simply be a microphone and a mouthpiece in your hands in Jesus name I pray, amen.

Hebrews 12:9-10 – 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Now the Bible tells us literally not symbolically, we must be perfect as God is we must have the holiness of God we must practice godliness in everything. How can you have the perfection? How can you be perfect as God is? How can you be holy as God is?

Let’s add to the challenge. 2 Peter 1:4 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Now we have to partake of God’s perfection. We must have God’s holiness. Now we must partake of His divine nature. But we are spiritual descendants of three patriarchs. Are you with me?

  • Abraham you’ll be a father of many nations but your wife is barren
  • Isaac you’ll be a father of many nations but your wife is barren
  • Jacob you’ll be a father of many nations but your wife is barren
  • It must be up to me then says God to do this.

Well let me ask you this. Let me be delicate again. Abraham when he got to the point he could not have children he laughed at God – Genesis 17:17 then Abraham fell upon his face and laughed. Can you imagine Abraham was doing a ROFL? Abraham was rolling on the grass or the sand laughing at God why? Because God still insisted you’ll have a child and he was about a hundred and Sarah was ninety. So, he said and shall she that is 90 years old bear, how can this happen? It is humanly impossible and he was right. In Chapter 18:12 Sarah laughed. So, the family laughed at God. But did they have Isaac? Yes.

Let me ask you this, here’s a man who was biologically unable to father children anymore. Romans 4 says his loins were dead, Romans 4 says Sarah’s womb was dead. Death does not produce life. Death does not produce life. Life is produced after its kind. A mango tree produces mango. A pair a pair. Death cannot produce life. Now how did Isaac come about? By Skype? Let me ask you this, did Sarah and Abraham have to come together and study the quarterly? Yes or no? Yes. Even though they were unable to have children they still had to come together within the safety of marriage, the physical act and produce Isaac. Now that is works responding to faith! Amen. This is works. But having confessed he was too old, having confessed his wife was too old, he still got together with her because he trusted God’s Word. Faith without works is dead.

Now, ye be therefore perfect even as your father which is in heaven is. Do you believe that, yes or no? Yes. That’s faith what does it have to produce? Works. We must have the holiness of God.

Here’s the dilemma you and I are in. Go to Romans 8:7 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. The words neither indeed can be means impossible.

Let’s look at impossible again, Jeremiah 13:23 – 23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? Then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. Why can the Ethiopian not change his skin? Because the Ethiopian is black at the level of the genes. If Ethiopian bathes in bleach, is he still black? Yes, because he cannot bleach his genes. Can a leopard change his spots? If you paint a leopard of a Tiger’s stripes, is he still a leopard? Yes. Because he spotted are where? In the genes. Why are we unable to obey God’s law in our own power? Because we’re disobedient in the genes!

What’s our subject? God of the impossible. How does God get someone genetically disobedient to obey? Are you with me? How can God get a genetically disobedient person to obey? Not obey simply as an action, but obey from the heart? Obey genetically? He has to be born again. Most members are not born again. That’s why we have so many problems in the church. People are convinced the doctrines are right they’re not convicted. Let me say it again at a risk of my life, most of us are not converted. We are changed, not converted. I have a friend, he used to drink. He sleeps on the street and gutter and one day he decided like I’m sick of all this life. He stopped drinking. He didn’t pray, he stopped. You can change behavior without God. Let me say it again, you can change your behavior without God. You can decide to stop beating up your husband without praying about it. Are you following me? But you cannot change your nature without God. As a matter of fact, you can’t change it at all. You don’t help God to change your nature, He changes it at your request.

And so, God says in Ezekiel 36:26-27 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. I will cause you meaning – I will be the power that allows you to obey. I will cause you. For that kind of thing to happen, the surrender to God must be total. I ask you a question. If you surrender to God 99 percent, who controls the one percent? Satan. What did Jesus say: thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy might and with all thy strength. You cannot surrender to God 99.9 because all the devil needs to ruin your life is point zero one. Let me say differently, to save me God needs 100 percent of me, to destroy me the devil just needs one percent. Listen again, in order for salvation to take place which is justification, the surrender must be 100 percent. In order to be lost the surrender needs to be only 99 percent because the devil will use the 1 percent to destroy you.

Let’s look up some people who would be lost
Father in heaven please dear God help me to speak for your glory not mine in Jesus name I pray amen.

26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. Now listen to what they were doing: 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, STOP. Let us listen to the four things they were doing:

  • They did eat – who invented eating? God
  • They drank – who invented drinking? God
  • They married wives – who performed the first marriage ceremony? God
  • They gave in marriage – who gave away the first bride? God
  • Keep reading – until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Why would God destroy people who were just eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage? It does not say, murder, rape, carjacking! No

28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Now what were they doing? they did eat, they, drank, they bought, they sold, they plant, this is business as usual. Many of us, our lives are nothing more than business as usual. That’s the polite educated way to be lost, business as usual. Jesus said that’s the way it was in the days of Noah and Lot, that’s how it will be today. How do we get out of that? God has to do something in the heart. My brothers and sisters God is looking for people who will obey Him even at the cost of life and limb. We read foxes book of Martyrs, have you ever read that book? And we marvel at the Martyrs who went to the stake. What were they doing? Singing hymns, giving up their lives for truth. In the days of the Roman Empire all they had to do was sprinkle some incense in an altar and say I deny Jesus. Now you could have gone back home and said I’m sorry. They wouldn’t do it. They were thrown into an arena and the Lions would come. Now if I had to die that’s not how I want to die. Give me an injection with a sterilized needle so I suffer nothing. Are you listening to me? Laughing gas or something. Eaten by lions! Where does the lion bite first? Are you with me? These men, these women waited in the arena, waited for the Lions.

There was a man called Polycarp. He was a godly man. The Romans did not want to kill him. He was so godly. When the soldiers came he was praying and the soldiers waited until he finished praying then they took him to the place of judgment and they begged him, just deny Jesus. And the old man said what has Jesus ever done to me? He has done nothing to me and I cannot deny him. They condemned him, sent him to die. Faithfulness to God was more important to him than his own life.

Let’s go to Job chapter two. You see the devil knows as long as you treasure your life he has you. Job 2:1-4, our subject, God of the impossible. 1Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.2 And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, from going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. Stop. And the devil was right. We will do everything to save our skin. As long as my life is my most precious possession, the devil has me. Because all he has to do is threaten my life. And he need not threaten my life by putting a gun to my head he can threaten my life by threatening my job. God needs people who will come to the place where a man looks at his dead loins, a woman looks at her dead womb and still concludes life can come from there.

There’s a young man who writes me consistently from China. He’s a student, he absolutely refuses to go to class on Sabbath or to take exams on Sabbath. He writes me five times a week, literally. The administration is warning him, his students are encouraging him to take the exams and some of them are. Seventh Day Adventists. He will not do it. So, he’s all alone. How can I tell that man or that boy go to school on Sabbath? Take exams, as I keep telling him, do not do it. So, he wrote a letter to his Union. Could you just sign this and send it back to the school letting the school know I’m a member of a church that respects the Bible Sabbath and there whether they’ll do that or not he does not know but he’s trying but all he knows is I am NOT taking exams on Sabbath. I am NOT going to class on Sabbath. Now he’s funded by his country he’s from another country. The country funded him full scholarship; he’s from a very poor family and he realized he’s facing expulsion.

Now you want agree with me for many of us our security is our education not Jesus. If Jesus is your security you will not take the exam on Sabbath. If Christ is my security I will not take an exam on Sabbath. But if the degree is my security I will violate the commandments to take that exam, no matter how much I sing in a choir. God stands ready to enable us to do the impossible, which is obey. What is the third angel’s message – the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

There’s coming a time when a law will be passed making Sunday the legal day of worship. Violation of that law will be punished by death that was the same as for Daniel and the three Hebrew boys. When that occurs, that’s when people will have the mark of the beast, no one has it now. Are you with me? Question for you, don’t answer me. How will you choose? If my choices now are against God, compromise, against God, compromise? What am I preparing myself for? Compromise.

There was a young man in the gym shooting jump shots. He was missing all the time. So, a coach came by and said what are you doing? He said I’m practicing jump shot. No, you are practicing missing. You keep missing, you are practicing missing. That’s all you do. If I compromise and compromise and compromise I condition my mind to compromise. If all I want is the internet and video games and Game of Thrones and those violent games when a trial comes my way and I have to choose spiritually, I will not make that choice. God of the impossible. You and I, we can conquer sin. Amen! What did I say? We can conquer sin. That’s part of present truth, the possibility of total victory over sin.

Let me ask you this, how many sins did Adam commit that led to his eviction? One. If God threw Adam out for one sin, can He admit you with one sin? No. By putting Adam out for one sin, the Bible is teaching us way back in Genesis in the garden, what I require is perfection. But we have a nature that hates to obey. And so, God has arranged a plan which is remarkable. God sent His son, He said go live the life I want them to live. You go live it. Take their condition live their life. Now any one of them who accepts you, I will place your life in their stead. Let me express it differently. I want you to imagine the list below:

    Man madeGod made
    MurderLove
    LyingJoy
    Bank RobberiesPeace
    Tax EvasionLongsuffering
    Killing your parentsGentleness
    GenocideGoodness
    FratricideFaith
    MatricideMeekness
    Etc.Temperance

Jesus says, if you come to me with how much of your heart? All of it. I will take that – all the items on the left side of the table – and put it on me. Are you listening to me? And I will take that – all the items on the right side of the table – and put it on you, because you have a nature that cannot do the items on the right side of the table.

When Adam and Eve sinned, what were they wearing after they sinned? Fig leaves. After they sinned, they put on fig leaves. In other words, they were half clothed as so many people are today, half-dressed even in church, half-dressed but that’s another time another subject. What did God do? He clothed them. Of course, He had to remove the aprons and that’s easily arrive at by studying Zechariah chapter 3 verses 1 to 5. He removed that and He clothed them. Now who made the aprons of leaves? Adam and Eve. Who made the courts of skin? God. So, all the murder and rape and stealing, that’s man-made. Are you following me? Love, joy, peace longsuffering, that’s God made.

When you learn, God has a standard that does not contain one iota of sin you realize I’m in trouble. Even if am 99.99 alright, I’m still in trouble, because God’s standard is perfection. You see the kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, but so is the kingdom of hell, they both grow. Jesus has promised, if you come to me, how much? 100 percent. I will take that from you – all the items on the left side of the table – and put it on me. And I will take that from me – all the items on the right side of the table – and put it on you. And I will repeat that every day.

Christ Triumphant or is it Our High Calling, Ellen White write somewhere: Genuine conversion is needed not once in years but daily. Listen to me, Jesus Christ will take that sewer of a life, slime of a life, a life of flowing pus put it on Him and take the bejeweled garments of love, joy, peace, and put it on you and when God looks as Ellen White says in Steps to Christ page 66 paragraph 2 I think it is He looks at you as if you never sinned because He’s looking at what Jesus put on you. Are you following me?

You can walk out of this tent, with that, on you. But you must come to him how? 100%. He alone can make that change you can make it you can come, but he makes the change and even the fact you come, you come because the Holy Ghost is pushing you. No one comes to God, people are pushed towards God and they have to decide I’ll allow myself to be pushed or I’ll fight back. The pushing is a conviction. You see the Holy Ghost pushes, He doesn’t shove. He pushes, He pushes, He pushes, He doesn’t shove you. He pushes. And some people say don’t push so hard, but He pushes. Go to Him and have that – all the items on the left side of the table -removed. Only God can do that and He renews that every day.

My brothers and sisters I said earlier here’s the dilemma we’re in. The dilemma is, we have a nature that cannot obey. The other side of the dilemma is, God has a standard that contains no sin. I didn’t say clearly. Let me try again. Here’s our dilemma: We have a nature that cannot obey. God’s standard is perfect obedience. That’s a dilemma. Calvary solved it, because of Jesus is life. What does Jesus say? Which of you convicts me of sin? The prince of this world cometh and hath nothing in me. He takes that and puts it on you the way you put that dress on. The only thing is, He puts it on the inside and He takes all of that puts it on him. The thing He hates the most is the thing He puts on himself. Aaah! Have you walked through a farm and stepped in it – dung? What’s the first thing you do? Now it’s on your shoes not your face, it’s your shoes, but your stomach turns and you have to take it off. That’s the way it is with sin. Jesus hates the dung of sin.

Let me show it to you differently. The table above shows your condition and mine: rape, murder, stealing, tax evasion, whatever, lesbianism and homosexuality, whatever, bestiality. As we go through life that accumulates on the shoe of our soul. Are you with me? We step in it all over the place. God comes to us and says to us, wipe your feet before you enter my kingdom, you can’t drag that. I have a friend who has a chicken farm and before you get into the farm you have to step in a solution so you bring no contamination. Are you with me? God says to enter my kingdom wipe your feet and we say where’s the mart? He says, that man’s face is the mart. But that’s Jesus. Wipe your shoe on His face and we are clean. God says come. Wipe your feet on His face that’s the same thing as Him taking that –the filth on the left of the table, and giving you this – the jewels on the right of the table.

This evening, if you come I’ll tell you how is it you can wipe your feet on the face of Jesus and Jesus remains pure. But today how many of you privately with nothing to do with your husband or your girlfriend or whomever, just you, will say, Father as far as I know, I surrender my life to you 100%. How many will do that, can I see your hand. If you raised your hand – do not stand if you didn’t raise up your hand – this is not routine, this is a serious business. Let me repeat, how many of us will say, Father as far as I know how, I surrender my life to you 100 percent, can I see your hand again? You stand.

    Heads bowed, eyes closed:
    Closing prayer –
Father in heaven. We thank you so much dear God for the power of your word in the lives of those whom you love. Father we thank you for this marvelous and glorious arrangement that by accepting Jesus 100% His character is placed for us and He takes all our corruption but remains pure. Father we’ve come to say insofar as we know how we surrender our lives to you dear God receive us Father and make up where we are deficient, cover us now Father. Keep your word, cover us dear God in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

The Bible says for He hath made Him to be sin for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Make us righteous right where we stand Father according to your word and let us leave this place believing it and behaving that way. Now God as we eat, help us to remember godliness is profitable and all things. Let’s eat like Christian people. Let us fellowship like righteous people. Let us behave like holy people if we keep it in the mind the mind produces the behavior.

Thank you for your word, thank you for your spirit, thank you for your stubborn love dear God. When you come into your kingdom save us I pray. And now Father I present these names to you which I have written on this paper the same way Hezekiah presented the letter to the temple and asked you to read it. Read these names Father. They are engraved on the palm of your hands in the name of Jesus who died for them the strength of His blood, Father. Bless them, strengthen them. Let nothing change their minds from this decision that has enraged the devil but delighted Heaven. And let them so live that their lives will lead others to Christ. Hasten the day where they will go under the waters of baptism I pray in Jesus name. Let God’s people say, Amen! And Amen
